And that’s a wrap! 🎉 Last Friday we finished up the schoolyard transformation at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary in West Oakland—our 21st schoolyard build with kaboom and ousdnews. Thanks to the vision of mlkjrousd students and the hard work of families, volunteers, and partners—including workday and kaiserpermanente—the school now has: 🛝 2 new playgrounds 🏐 2 full multisport courts + 1 half court 🏀 5 basketball hoops ⚽ 4 soccer goals 📚 1 Little Town Library 🎨 Colorful murals and ground games 🌳 New nature areas funded by CAL FIRE We’re proud to be creating safe, joyful, and inspiring spaces where Oakland kids can play, learn, and thrive, and we’re just getting started!
