The best part about stage of my “fitness journey” is that I really don’t and never did consider it a journey. I had no “day 1”, no goals, no intention to “get ready” for a trip or for a warm weather season. I just needed to feel like I had a bit more control over my day.
Back in January I don’t know how to describe how I was feeling other than off, very very off. But working out in the mornings felt like the one way I could set the tone for my day, almost each and every day. That’s all.
The physical changes I’ve seen are cool, but I’m most satisfied with with the mental changes: discipline, consistency, and perseverance, and even more appreciative of the fact that I’ve done all of it in the comfort of my own home. (TBD on if/when I’m taking my talents back to a gym.)
I’m not a fitness influencer by ANY means, just a girl who has a thing for the niketraining app and some outfits to match.
