This Mother’s Day, I wanted to speak to more than just the title “mom.”
This is for the aunties, the teachers, the foster mamas, the ones who’ve mothered through grief, through absence, through love that never needed permission.
This is a poem I wrote titled
" What they don't say about motherhing"
it's an ode to motherhood in all its forms....Raw, beautiful, exhausting, divine.
And at the end… you’ll hear my grandmother’s final words to me...36 hours before she passed.
She told me to record it.
Now I’m sharing it with you. Happy Mother’s Day my babies 😘❤️
