Last week at FTV LA, @uatheatrefilmtv’s Los Angeles base at Film Independent, we presented a screening of CONTENT, the first feature film by alum Adam Meilech (‘20). The post-screening Q&A was hosted by fellow TFTV alum and celebrated horror filmmaker Tyler Gillett (Scream, Scream VI), with members of the cast and crew. A found footage horror-comedy shot only phones, laptop, webcams, doorbell cameras, and more, CONTENT follows a seemingly polite director as he blackmails his actors into living a real-life horror movie. The film is written/directed by Meilech, produced by Logan Cleverly (’19), edited by Stephanie Silva (’19) and Zach Lovvorn (‘20), and stars Megan Boehmcke (’21), Vaune Suitt (’21), and Alex Mills (Eller, ‘20). “Making an independent movie would have been impossible without the relationships we made at UofA,” says Meilech. “We couldn’t be more grateful to FTV LA for bringing us all together & showing our work.
