China’s Ministry of Commerce announced Saturday that it will launch an anti-dumping investigation into imports of certain analog IC chips originating from the United States, effective Sept 13, 2025.⁣ ⁣ China says the U.S. has overstretched the idea of “national security,” abused export controls and long-arm jurisdiction, and deliberately suppressed China’s chip and AI industries - actions seen as violating WTO rules and harming Chinese enterprises.⁣ ⁣ The probe was requested by domestic industries and, according to MOFCOM, fully aligns with Chinese law and WTO principles.
