Baking soda is a base and vinegar is an acid so they cancel each other. But, washing your produce with baking soda and salt is effective at removing pesticdes. A study by the University of Massachusetts found that baking soda can remove up to 96% of pesticides!
How to wash produce:
Add 1-2 tsp of baking soda and 2 tsp salt to a bowl with the produce and cover with water for 10 minutes. Then rinse with water and dry with a dish towel.
