September 15th marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. You may be wondering why Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park (TX) is on the National Park Service’s Extraordinary Places of Latino Heritage list. In 1968, President Lyndon B. Johnson first established Hispanic Heritage Week, which later grew into the month-long celebration we know today. In 2023, we helped expand this park, protecting its landscapes and history for generations. #LyndonBJohnson #Texas #ParkPreservation #Parks #TX #HispanicHeritageMonth
