On September 12, nine organizations, including the Steinberg Institute, sent a coalition letter urging Governor Gavin Newsom to sign Assembly Bill 348, authored by Assemblymember asmmaggykrell. AB 348 sets a statewide standard for Full Service Partnerships, California’s most intensive “whatever it takes” mental health programs, ensuring the sickest, most vulnerable people living on our streets and floating in and out of our jails and hospitals get immediate care. Sponsored by the Steinberg Institute, the California Big City Mayors Coalition, and the behavioralhealthofca, the bill passed by an overwhelming margin in the Legislature. Thank you to the organizations that signed this letter in support of AB 348: mentalhealthamericaofca safeandjust California State Association of Psychiatrists courageca housingca naeh_endhomelessness #BehavioralHealth #CaliforniaPolicy #AB348 #FullServicePartnerships
