Springfield, MO - 9/14/2025 - Missouri State welcomed Southern Methodist University (SMU) to Robert W Plaster Stadium Saturday in front of 15,027 fans. Missouri State would hold their own for most of the game but would ultimately fall 28-10 to SMU. The 1st quarter was all about capitalizing on turnovers for Missouri State. Thanks to an interception by J. J. O’Neal Missouri State would put up 3 on a field goal. Missouri State led by Quarterback Jacob Clark would get a touchdown following a missed field goal by SMU. The quarter would end with Missouri State leading 10-0. Missouri State’s defense would hold SMU scoreless till just over halfway through the 2nd quarter.
