This story isn’t just a one off. In Americas past there have been too many stories to count where black men and women have been lynched or jailed for no reason at all. False stories were made up just so white supremacists could attack innocent black folks. Attacks that were often provoked by members of law enforcement. Members of towns that were protected and always got off without accountability. #emmittill So, for all of you that wear that red hat, as a black person, its a trigger that brings us back to these stories from the past. An America that we will not go back to.
