☕️🥖Tea, a drink with jam and (homemade) bread… straight out of The SoundofMusic! 🍞🍓🎶 For RodgersandHammerstein’s The Sound of Music Sing-A-long at the Hollywood Bowl on September 20 (our favorite tradition every year), I baked bread from scratch—just yeast, water, sugar, flour—with a little twist: edible flowers on top. 🌸 This year feels extra magical because we’re celebrating the 60th anniversary of the movie! A few fun facts to make your heart sing: The Sound Of Music premiered in 1965 and won 5 Academy Awards, including Best Picture 🏆 The year after its release it became the highest-grossing film of all time, and held that record for five years 🎬 “Edelweiss” was the last song ever written by Rodgers & Hammerstein (and nope, it’s not actually an Austrian folk song!) 🌼 A brand-new 4K remaster is being released this month to celebrate its anniversary – and the version playing at the Bowl will be in 4K as well! 🍿 The music remains timeless—“Do-Re-Mi,” “My Favorite Thing...
