French president Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, are set to show “photographic and scientific evidence” in court to prove that Brigitte is a woman in their trans defamation case against Candace Owens. In July, the French president and his wife filed a defamation lawsuit against political commentator Candace Owens over new claims that Brigitte is trans. Owens lawyers have responded with a motion to dismiss the claim. The Macrons’ lawyer, Tom Clare, has now said they will present photographic and scientific evidence in the case against Owens. Clare spoke to the BBC’s Fame Under Fire podcast and said Brigitte had found the claims “incredibly upsetting” and a “distraction” to her partner.
