Rapper Lil Nas X is now ‘in treatment’, after pleading not guilty to four felony charges and being released from prison following his arrest, his lawyers have confirmed.
On 25 August, the “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” singer was charged with four felonies, including three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one felony count of resisting an executive officer.
The LAPD responded to calls after a man who appeared to be the rapper was filmed walking along Ventura Boulevard in white underwear and cowboy boots on 21 August. Lil Nas X was then arrested and taken to hospital, after he allegedly charged at the officers responding to calls.
He was released from prison on 26 August on bail after pleading not guilty to the charges, and was ordered by a judge to attend four Narcotics Anonymous meetings per week, according to PEOPLE.
According to his lawyers at a court hearing on Monday (15 September), Lil Nas X, real name Montero Hill, is now “in treatment” out of state.
