Pedro Pascal recently sat down with his transgender sister Lux for an interview about her biopic role as real-life trans icon, Argentine activist Carlita Antonella Rodríguez. Lux said she was hesitant to take the role on initially, explaining because she’s lived her trans identity “throughout [her] whole life” she wasn’t sure she wanted to portray that onscreen. But ultimately, she was able to shape the Rodríguez narrative in a way that means her transness is just one aspect of her personhood. In the interview with her brother, published in Elle, Lux said: “Agustina Macri was generous enough and aware enough to let me guide a lot of the language around transness and be like, ‘Hey, can we not make it her sole focus?
