One of the most beloved sapphic games is being adapted into a TV series, and it’s getting extra queer credentials behind the scenes. ‘Life Is Strange’ is in development at Amazon Prime Video, with non-binary queer creator Charlie Covell attached as writer, executive producer and showrunner. Chloe, a central character in the game, was confirmed as a lesbian in the franchise’s prequel ‘Life Is Strange: Before the Storm,’ and the relationship between her and main character Max remains central to the franchise.Covell described the opportunity as “a huge honour,” saying they’re a “massive fan of the game” and are excited to bring Max and Chloe’s story to both longtime players and new fans.
