Actor Derek Dixon has opened up about his s3xual assault allegations against Tyler Perry in his first television interview since filing a $260 million lawsuit.
Speaking with ‘ABC News Live,’ Dixon said he has felt both shame and determination to share his experiences, alleging unwanted advances from Perry via text and in person. One incident he described involved Perry allegedly pulling down his underwear and grabbing his butt despite Dixon communicating he was not interested. Dixon filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in January, which followed his character, Dale, getting killed off of Perry’s BET series ‘The Oval.’
Dixon rejected claims that his lawsuit was an attempt at extortion, saying the damages he seeks reflect both lost income and the need to deter similar misconduct.
