If you like soccer so much, why don’t you play it? Those were the famous words that got Rebecca on the field for the first time. An innocent question from her children that would spark a decades-long love for playing... sometimes as much as six (!) times a week. Looking back at her life, Rebecca will be the first to admit that she never expected the beautiful game to be such a defining part of who she is as a person. But across her 22 years of playing, it’s evident that showing up week in and week out hasn’t only been about just stepping on the field. Through it all, Rebecca has forged friendships that transcend the 90-odd minutes they might all share together around a ball. They’ve supported each other through both hardships and milestones that life has thrown their way.
