And away we go! It’s been 20 years since I was a student on a college campus. As a total school nerd I could not wait to get back. I had my loose leaf and binder ready last night. Pens, highlighters, folders, and a mint green (ahem on brand) guacamole backpack packed and ready to go. I just got out of my first day of 19th grade and OMG did that feel good! It was funny to hear the kids who graduated in the last few years and took a minute off say they haven’t been in a university setting in a while. My BA was 2000. My MA was 2005. Perhaps one was a blastocyst when I got either. I swear I said “I have socks older than you” less times than I said NO - I’m a student NOT faculty. I got my student ID, parking pass, and printed out everything because I’m old. I can’t join clubs. I tried 😆. Let’s be honest, I’m fantasizing about getting home and having a date night with my 3-hole puncher. There are cute boys playing SpikeBall on the quad (is this the new hacky sack?) but I’m a marrie...
