FEI Longines Jumping World Cup! 2/2 I’ve been going to Traverse City every year since I was born and have seen the TVC Horse Shows venue grow like crazy so this was a really exciting assignment for me. Being the only photographer for FEI, I had to come away with highlights for PR team. So effectively for each rider, I had to be in a position to get an image that was usable to summarize the event with them if they were to win. Shooting equestrian is nice because it is predictable but it’s surprisingly difficult to track a rider on a huge animal and keep focus. And also there is sand everywhere - cameras are due for a cleaning. Wrapped up the day with swim in Torch Lake and just trying my best to use nature to calm everything from this past week.
