The USS Jack H. Lucas (DDG 125) made its grand entrance into Tampa for its Commissioning Ceremony this weekend. The ship is named in honor of Pfc. Jack Lucas. Lucas was a U.S. Marine who received the Medal of Honor for his bravery at Iwo Jima during World War II at the age of 17. He is the youngest Marine and serviceman in World War II to be awarded the highest military decoration in the United States.
