Kind of crazy that a Google search led to this, but I guess that’s how many great adventures start 🏡 In 2020, we were in lockdown in Malaysia and had been backpacking for 4 years. We had no home, we’d given up our flat, sold most of our things, quit our jobs and loved our life on the road. But didn’t expect a worldwide pandemic to hit. The advice given to all travellers was ‘go home’ - but what if you don’t have one? So with very little money, and a lot of time on my hands, I started searching for a place we could call ours. And a place we could go to when we needed it. That search led to property websites and 6 months waiting for borders to open to see houses.
