Stonegates, an assisted living community in the Greenville neighborhood of Wilmington, DE, recently gathered for the grand opening of its new conservatory. 👏 Core States Group provided architectural design services for the project, and Joe Mingioni and Jaime Martin were on-site to join the celebration! The project originated as a solution to improve ADA accessibility between building sections and evolved into a fully enclosed conservatory connected to the existing pub room and adjacent renovated garden space. One key design challenge was meeting fire separation requirements while maintaining the owner’s open plan concept. This was achieved by integrating retractable fire curtains at all large openings between the new and existing spaces.
