USTA SoCal hosted its 3rd Annual Unified Doubles Tournament at Peninsula Racquet Club in Rancho Palos Verdes! 🎾🌴 Unified doubles tennis pairs one player with an intellectual or developmental disability, with a partner without a disability, to form a doubles team. Teams play matches against other unified doubles pairings of similar ability levels, promoting understanding and unity through sport. We had 16 total teams who competed in our SoCal Qualifying Tournament. After 24 round robin matches, 2 semifinals, and a grand finale, we crowned our champions Emily Werman alongside with her dad Louis Werman.
