Tomorrow is the big day. It's our annual "equipment giveaway" at our test kitchen offices. Pictured here, editor Miye Bromberg and #ATKTV star Lisa McManus organize products to be included in the giveaway. What's this event, you might ask? In order to review products on our tastings and testings team, we purchase #kitchen equipment directly from retailers (we don't let manufacturers sponsor our research), and thoroughly test and rate the products for our magazines and websites. This means that we often buy multiple copies for testing and photography purposes, but our offices are too small to store everything. How do we get rid of it all? This year, we donated almost $3,000 dollars worth of kitchen equipment to a local charity in Boston, and tomorrow, we host an annual equipment giveaway, where all of our employees (even the interns!) get to take the products home.
