Fight for the Vision and Do the Work

#MichaelElliot is well-known for writing timeless early 2000s movies like Brown Sugar, Just Wright, and Like Mike. But he’s returned to share
#RuthandBoaz, a modern retelling of the biblical story.
Elliot, who rose from being a homeless high school dropout in Philly to a screenwriter and entrepreneur in California, says God took him through a process that taught him identity, financial discipline, and gratitude.
He prayed the prayer, “Bless me with an original idea, something that no one had thought to do but me.” He said that he was prepared to do whatever the response was, because he wanted to be sure that it was from God. Elliot later went on to raise $200k from “Shark Tank” viewers and be featured in Forbes for building Hammer & Nails, a male grooming shop.
When people ask him about his success and how he came up with the idea, he answers, “It started with prayer.” Isn’t this dope? 🔥
