In the Northeast region of Brazil, change is in progress. Since 2014, Afro-Brazilian organization, Revista Afirmativa has been challenging racial and gender stereotypes in mainstream Brazilian media with their feminist advocacy. By using tools like documentary and digital campaigns, they place the stories of Black communities at the front and center. Revista Afirmativa is #MakingBlackHistory by changing the conversation, one story at a time.
