Our partners from the East Africa Abortion Rights Movement conducted a powerful joint activity in Uganda. 📢
In collaboration with Alliance for Women Advocating for Change Uganda, Human Rights Awareness and Promotion Forum, and Dynamic Doctors, they organized a health and legal camp at Kikagate Border in Isingiro District. The camp provided critical healthcare services, legal support, and sexual and reproductive health and rights education to grassroots sex workers and other historically marginalized groups in the country.
This impactful event connected with communities through radio, local outreach, and national media. 🎙️
While Uganda has made strides toward healthcare equity, restrictive abortion laws and limited access to post-abortion care continue to impact women, girls, sex workers, LGBTQ+ groups, and more.
