Every woman and girl deserves to live in a world where safety, dignity, and equality are the norm and not the exception. At the start of this year, we joined forces with fellow girl-centered organizations to condemn the rise of femicide in Kenya. In our joint statement, we demanded action, justice, and accountability. Yet, as we mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the heartbreaking reality is that femicide cases are on the rise again.
