On Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, Oberweis Dairy (Oberweis) opened a new location on 510 Winnetka Avenue—right down the street from the Winnetka Campus where the Shabahang Royal Carpet store used to be. This Oberweis location is more modern than its other locations in Glenview and Skokie, though it still includes a red awning outside, an ice cream parlor, and a dairy shop on the inside like the other locations. While Oberweis used to be owned by the Oberweis family, the store was recently bought by the Hoffmann Family Companies, a private equity firm owned by a North Shore family, on Jun. 19, 2024 after Oberweis Dairy filed for bankruptcy on Apr. 12, 2024.
