Of anywhere I go in the world… There’s nothing like home! I love the Yorkshire Dales and enjoy walking in all weathers. This weekend we’ve been seeing a LOT of rain! The temptation in the colder, wetter months, is to stay indoors, to hunker down to not move much isn’t it? If I’ve discovered anything over the past few years, it’s that simply getting out and walking is life! I know that when I’m out walking I’m gonna see things, and interact with people that otherwise I wouldn’t, had I stayed indoors. Today’s walk was delightful. I saw rain hanging from berry‘s like jewels, a group of kayakers enjoying the fact that the heavy rainfall of the past couple of days had turned the usually gently meandering river into rapids! I saw a giant heron with the most spectacular wingspan, and for the first time, a silver Labrador in the pub. These are small things, but on some days it’s being able to appreciate the small things that makes all the difference. Can any of you relate? #Yorks...
