Make It Your Way: Chocolate Dipped Treats
1. Make Melted Chocolate Coating: Place 1 ½ cups semisweet or white chocolate chips and 2 teaspoons vegetable oil in 2-cup microwave-safe liquid measuring cup or bowl. Heat in microwave at 50 percent power until chocolate chips are almost melted, about 2 minutes, stirring with spoon every 30 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir until smooth. Let cool slightly, about 5 minutes.
2. Dip: Dip fruit, cookies, or salty snacks into chocolate mixture. Shake gently to let the extra chocolate drip off, and then place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet or platter.
3. Add Toppings: While chocolate is still warm, sprinkle your dipped treats with your favorite toppings.
4. Chill: Freeze until chocolate is hardened, about 5 minutes or refrigerate for at least 15 minutes or up to 1 day.
5. Enjoy! Share your kids’ creations with
