Sex jokes feel good in a place like this 🍿 Huge thank you to everyone who watched doinitmovie on opening day! Yesterday was super emotional. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE the cinema… it’s my fav thing. Watching a story on the big screen with others in a moment of community is special, and seeing people watch MY movie had me IN MY FEELS 😭 Truthfully, I had a ton of anxiety. From my passion project finally releasing, to dudes online calling me an “embarrassment” for talking about sex (😅), to plain exhaustion…it was a lot. But meeting you all was the cure. In NYC, I attended two screenings. For each, I got there early, stood hidden at the entrance, and listened as the audience laughed and reacted, without knowing I was there. The joy I felt is indescribable. After 7 years of work, hearing you laugh so loudly healed me. On YouTube I never got to hear people react in real time. My God, it’s magical.
