Students are digging into the issue of food insecurity at NC. Thanks to Horticultural Technician grad Robert Pastirik, the wellnessnc team, and the Teaching ncgreenhouse, a new community vegetable garden is now thriving at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake. 🥕🍅🌿 The goal? To provide fresh, free produce to students in need throughout the summer while building a stronger, more sustainable campus community. From raised beds and green onions to compost donations and campus-grown tomatoes, this student-led garden is already making a meaningful impact.
