SEPTA service is back! Bus, trolley and train routes that were cut three weeks ago are fully up and running now, but it comes at a cost— a 21.5% fare increase that's now in effect. A subway or bus ride now costs $2.90, while regional rail tickets cost $5 to $13, and a monthly pass will cost riders $20 more. SEPTA has been working to lessen the confusion during the transition back to full service, and over the past few days, crews have been removing thousands of signs about service reductions and replacing them with the updated schedules. This all comes after a judge ordered SEPTA to reverse its service cuts to plug a $213 million budget deficit. SEPTA is utilizing $394 million that was earmarked for capital projects to pay for daily operations for the next two years. More in bio. #SEPTA #PhiladelphiaNews #phillysepta
