It also impacts the way in which our communities interact with service dog users, which could create limitations to their independence and safety. 🏬 40% of service dog users considered avoiding public places after negative encounters with fake service dogs. 🏫 43% of service dog users were refused access to a public place in the past 12 months. 🚕 56% of service dog users have been denied access to ride share and taxi services. 🙅 65% of service dog users have encountered interference - such as biting, lunging or snapping - from fraudulent service dogs in places where pets aren't allowed.
