Victoria Police advises the search for armed offender Desmond Freeman (Filby) continues.⁣ ⁣ To support this, the Mount Buffalo National Park will remain closed for a further period of time. We will advise when this is no longer the case. ⁣ ⁣ Given the extensive searches undertaken since 26 August, the advice to avoid travelling to Porepunkah has been lifted. ⁣ ⁣ The Great Alpine Road is now open all the way through Porepunkah to Bright.⁣ ⁣ However, Victoria Police advises those in the area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to Triple Zero (000) or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. ⁣ ⁣ The community will still see an increased police presence in and around the area.⁣ ⁣ #Porepunkah
