Three years ago today I appeared in @Mashable for the first time wearing a unicorn mask and checking my phone. When I was a grad student I was obsessed with Mashable and I used to think that if I ever made it on to that website that would mean I would have made it. As you grow older and get more professional experiences you realize that your definition of made it is constantly changing as you set new goals for yourself.
