Trans Athlete Chris Mosier says competing in the World Duathalon Championships is “a form of protest”. Mosier, who is a member of Team USA, has spoken out about how the race represents more than just personal goals, as anti-LGBTQ+ policies have undermined their community. In an interview with Gayety, Mosier said: “This race, however, feels particularly heavy given the massive wave of anti-trans policies and rhetoric in the United States and globally. This year’s race is not just a time for me to compete against the best in the world; for me, it’s a form of protest.
