But today, increasingly frequent and severe megafires are emerging as a global crisis—one of the defining challenges of our time—threatening forests, communities, economies, and the climate. That’s why EDF is advancing a global wildfire agenda: shifting from a reactive focus on emergency response toward prevention, planning, and integrated fire management.
