Set against the skylight, 𝗘𝗶𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻 — an installation by Vong Phaophanit and Claire Oboussier as part of the 𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 initiative—invites participants of the 𝟮𝟰-𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 to reveal what exists in the liminal, within the phantoms of the past and present, between essentialist landscape and individual identity. Its title, from the Greek word for “phantom,” gestures to the intangible, while its root eidos, “that which is seen”, suggests presence.
