🤔 Did you know about this? The Bugatti Veyron’s journey from concept to production is one of the wildest evolutions in modern automotive history. After Volkswagen revived the Bugatti name in the late 1990s, they experimented with multiple prototypes starting with the EB118 and EB218 luxury designs, then moving to mid-engine concepts like the 18/3 Chiron and EB18/4 Veyron, both powered by an ambitious W18 engine. Some of these early prototypes, including a rare manual-equipped 18-cylinder test car hidden away for over 20 years, showcased just how experimental the project was in its infancy. Ultimately, the W18 was scrapped in favor of a more compact W16 with quad turbos, and the car’s styling was sharpened to meet the demands of 250+ mph speeds, cooling, and aerodynamics.
