Miles Kilburn (miles_kilburn_design) of Loughborough University in England is the designer of Breathe, a gender affirming chest binder for trans men and non binary people. Chest binders compress breasts making gender identity expression easier to present. But traditional binding methods can lead to shortness of breath, overheating, and breast tissue injury. Alternatively, Breathe has an accelerometer that adjusts tightness using just a button, for a safer experience.
