If you want to post mac’n cheese on TikTok, your skin better be as thick as your casserole dish. That’s what Tineke "Tini" Younger learned in 2023 when she shared a three-minute video of her roux-soaked mac recipe. While the video went viral – today it has 101 million views and 9.6 million likes – the comments came in hot as smoked paprika. Some users called the recipe overhyped, and others accused Tini of cultural appropriation.
