A 62-year-old Rosamond man learned the hard way that committing grand theft is a lot harder when you leave your phone and your ID at the crime scene. Detectives say the suspect allegedly committed multiple grand thefts over the past two months at a business located on the 33900 block of San Francisquito Canyon Road. After his latest 'heist,' the suspect reportedly left behind two of his personal items. On Friday, the suspect returned to the business, asking employees if anyone had found his missing items. Staff promptly contacted our station to report that their 'repeat visitor' was back, now looking for his lost belongings. Deputies were more than happy to show up and assist, informing the suspect that his items were, in fact, safe and sound... in the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station's Evidence room. The suspect was arrested on felony grand theft charges and booked into the SCV Sheriff's Station jail, where he remains without bail. Stay safe SCV, have a great Monday! #Cr...
