🚨 Today, Guatemala’s Supreme Court hears the appeal of jailed journalist José Rubén Zamora. It’s been more than three years since his arrest—and two years since a trial graded an “F” by our #TrialWatch Expert. The Court may restart his trial, but this ignores deeper injustices: blocked evidence and violations that denied him a fair defense at an earlier stage in the case. The UN has already found Zamora’s detention arbitrary. Zamora remains unjustly detained.
