In celebration of its golden anniversary on June 23 and through the 2023 national championship game, the College Football Playoff will showcase the stories of trailblazing women who have impacted and advanced the sport of college football. This month, we feature Danielle Bartelstein Tyler and Olivia Mitchell.
Danielle Tyler (currently the College Football Playoff's director of team operations) came to the CFP after four years as Virginia Tech's senior director of football operations, making her the first woman in the Power 5 to hold such a position.
Olivia Mitchell (former CFP intern) is the director of operations for Notre Dame football. She is the first Black woman to have such a role in the Power 5 and one of seven women at Power 5 programs to hold the title of DFO.
