In honor of Oktoberfest and not being in Munich (š), here are 20 photos from last fall when I spent 2 weeks in Germany. I spent half the time solo traveling around Frankfurt and the other half on a road trip to and around Munich with my mom.
The history these German cities have held onto was fascinating. From standing in buildings that have been completely rebuilt after war, to looking at paintings stolen from their artists, and touring castles built for one manās enjoyment. The only two places I didnāt bring my camera were Oktoberfest (no one needs to see the liters of beer that were consumed) and Dachau, the first and longest concentration camp. It didnāt feel right taking photos of a place created to hurt people. If traveling to Munich, I do still highly recommend visiting.
