A judge on Wednesday granted rapper #YNWMelly’s bombshell request to have a new legal team as he faces a double m-rder re-trial in #BrowardCounty. In his motion, Melly, whose real name is #JamellDemons, asked that #DrewFindling and #CareyHaughwout represent him in his double m-rder case moving forward. Findling and Haughwout will replace Raven Liberty, Stuart Adelstein, Daniel Aaronson and two others who have represented him for years. Court documents reference a conflict of interest with Raven Liberty, who is the subject of a Broward Sheriff’s Office investigation. Little is known publicly about that investigation, but the mere existence of it is prompting Demons to change course.
