It was 25 years ago that the Mammoth Department Store closed, leaving this building vacant. Thanks to dedicated residents like John George and Collin Matthews, who worked closely with the city, the building will be gone by the end of September. This site, located at one of our city’s most significant crossroads, can now be redeveloped, reimagined, and transformed into something beautiful for our Detroit community.
