As we continue our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month at Joffrey Ballet School, we are proud to spotlight Ballet Trainee Program alumna and faculty member Josie Rojas Gómez, who also kicks off this season’s very first episode of In the Studios!
Over the past two weeks, Josie led our Year 1 Ballet trainees through a dynamic Jazz class, featuring music by Chilean artists from their home country. This experience gave our trainees the chance to deepen their sense of musicality while engaging with one of many Hispanic cultural traditions we share with our students, connecting them to the rich roots that continue to shape dance around the world.
We are so grateful to Josie for sharing their artistry, their heritage, and their passion with our community. Their work with the Ballet Trainee Program enriches our dancers’ training experience, inspiring them to explore new ideas, embrace diverse perspectives, and carry that spirit into everything they do in the studio.
Stay tuned as we cont...
